Glacier Environment

During my holidays I started this project. This is my first attemp with stylized environement and I am pretty proud. I was inspired by the Grey Cat "Glacier" environment concept art : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/w9oNL
I've been learning Blender and UE4, so I decided to start creating this environment. I tried to keep an eyes on the concept but I wanted to bring something more personnal with some elements as the stylization, vfx and lighting.

So, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and I tried something newer and bigger than usually. I created everything from the blockout, I retried some assets until everything was matching together, because it was a bit difficult to get everything consistent. For the most of assets I started with the blockout in Blender, then I sculpted the high poly with Zbrush, finally retopo for lowpoly and bake the high on the low in Substance Painter. I made something simple for the texture and I added the snow on top in UE4 this technique allow me to rotate the rocks or bricks for example and keep always the snow on top.
Aside, I tried to learn particles system in UE4 to create snow fall and better animated fog.
